Mya Qi is the Founder and Managing Principal of Lucero Commercial Group, a boutique commercial real estate practice she built on the institutional standards she learned at the top of the industry. She began her career at CBRE in 2011, spending six years in critical facilities and corporate services, evaluating revenue-generating accounts and supporting the firm's global corporate services line for major institutional clients.
From there she moved upstream into development, serving as VP of Business Development at a Toronto development firm and working the full real estate lifecycle: land sourcing, pre-acquisition market research, proforma and Class D cost analysis, planning and design, preconstruction sales, and construction management. She reads a site the way a developer does, fluent in the zoning bylaws, official plans, provincial growth-plan constraints, and highest-and-best-use analysis that determine whether raw land actually works.
She brings that full-lifecycle perspective to her brokerage practice, where she has closed over $54 million across sales and leasing and maintains an active pipeline representing developers, capital groups, and a growing roster of healthcare, retail, and recreational operators. Recent work includes serving as listing broker on an industrial development in the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) North corridor and as acquisition advisor on a development land assignment in GTA East.
Mya holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta, a research-driven foundation she draws on directly when advising clients on healthcare and life sciences real estate. Dually licensed in Ontario and Alberta and fluent in English and Mandarin, she works with domestic and international clients across both provinces.
